Hello. I just found this site and would like to introduce myself. My name is Ron and i just recently moved to DF. I'm 36 years old and am currently living with my Girlfriend, a Mexican national. I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, C America, Colombia and Ecuador with my motorcycle, this is my passion. I have a basic understanding of Spanish and will be attending language school in January. I come from Vancouver, BC, and DF is a bit of a shock for me, but i'm up for the challenge none the less. I worked in the Vancouver film industry for over 10 years as a Special Effects Technician and am a skilled welder/fabricator. I will be needing a job soon, so any suggestions will be appreciated :)Looking for new friends and a place to watch some hockey this season, i'm a big Canucks fan! Looking froward to hearing from you Smile

Hey Ron,
I'm Tom an expat from Mississauga, I've been here for 5 years.
my wife is a Mexican national, we are in Tlalnepantla just outside D.F. What part of D.F. are you in ?
I catch games on SKY, but if I go out I can usually talk them into putting the game on at Hooters.

I'm fairly close to the Metro, since we actually live in Estado De Mexico there is no actual line here but it starts only 10 minutes away.
I also have a car so transportation is not that hard.
Normally we go to the Hooters on the Periferico in Satilite across from Plaza Satilite.
I forgot to mention that on Friday afternoons the Canadian embassy in Polanco has a happy hour at there bar, open to members of the Northern Lights Club, you need to be a Canadian citizen to join and $280.00 pesos a year (your allowed one guest per visit so your wife can join you),I still have not joined but I will very soon, you should look into this as well.
Any time you would like to meet up for a drink let me know when and where.
Tom
