Living in a bordertown and commuting to work

Post Wed Aug 25, 2010 2:47 pm

Hi all, I have searched this forum and the internet and can't find some specific answers that I am looking for in determining the best route for my fiancee and I to take in accomplishing our life goals, so I'm hoping for some help here.

He is a Canadian living in Vancouver and I am a US citizen planning to move to Northern Washington. We are getting married and plan on living close to the border so that I can continue to work in the US and he can keep his great job in Vancouver while we are applying for my permanent residency. Clearly, getting married and moving to Canada is costly so we both need to work and want to be able to live together while we are getting it all together. What is the easiest way for us to live in Northern Washington and for him to commute across the border without jepordizing our future plans?

Thanks very much for any help!
