Well..
From yours to mine, it's 1h30.
We could both drive 45 minutes to an intersting mid-point and voila!

If you find there are not a lot of Canadians around and you really miss us, you can train it down for the once monthly Vandoos meet up. Trust me, it satiates the need for fellow Canadians quite well. My fiance refers to it as my "support group"... and I've only gone once.

Once a month may get a bit pricey for your travels, so maybe every couple of months. I live only an hour by train and I do not make it often (as you can guess from the above statement).

Network Canada is having a big black tie Thanksgiving at the end of October too! That would definitely be a way to get a lot of Canadiana back into your life!

I live in South Manchester. If anyone wants to meet for coffee (or a pint of bitter, since the coffee here is so dire) in the centre of Manchester, I'm well up for that. Unfortunately, no car means I don't travel far very often.

I know there are Americans and Canadians around the Blackburn area, it just seems impossible to find them. They have melted into English life and are not looking to find their country men and women. I don't have a car or much financial freedom, so I was hoping to find some local expats, or at least some who can travel a bit.

I'm a brit myself, but my bloke (of Sask) is moving over next week. I know he's going to miss you Canucks like mad. I mean, he's already pining and he's not even got here yet. We'll be based in Didsbury, Manchester, and I reckon he'd love to meet up with some fellow countryman if you're in the area. Smile

He could join the Manchester A's baseball team and we could meet every sunday as we amicably beat them.
Very Happy
