Marry in Canada, or apply for fiance visa

I'm hoping someone can help me. I am Canadian, and intend to marry a US citizen (he has dual Canadian/US citizenship) I can't figure out whether it would be better for us to marry in Canada, and apply for a spousal Visa, or to apply for a fiance visa, then marry in the US.

The kind of information required looks the same, but does anyone have a sense of which would be faster? We are both 60, so time's a fleeting.
