maybe moving to Madrid...with 6 kids

Post Wed Jul 13, 2011 6:31 am

We are Canadians living in Atlanta right now. My husband is considering a move to Madrid with his company... we have 6 kids, 2, 4, 9, 10, 12, 14 . Can any one tell me what the schools are like? How does healthcare work there? I have heard that university is free in Spain, but I'm not clear if this is for citizens or all residents... What is the cost of living like compared to Toronto?

Any helpful information would be great!

Best regards,
Kerrie

Hi PKRIVARD
It is fun here, Like wise in the other country nothing really differs. As the time goes by you will be able to adjust here. Living in toronto is more costly unlike here.

Madrid is great city and very family friendly also, kids are brought to all places that they normally wouldnt go in Canada, restaurants....

Once here you can connect with Canadians at the Canadian Club of Madrid. They meet the second Wednesday of every month, you can find their FaceBook page at Canadian Club of Madrid
Hope this helps
