Medical/travel Insurance?

I am moving to NZ in May on a working holiday visa for 1 year and I need to find out what insurance to get? Does anyone know what would be my best choice? Also, if I wanted to pick up work while I am there do I need some sort of SIN card/#? thanks for all your help!

i went with BCAA insurance. After some research they seemed the cheapest for the year. I am sure you have the same kind of place in Ontario?

You will need a Tax File Number (TFN) which is the equivalent to our SIN card. Here's the link for info, you can probably apply for it online as well (although probably not until you're in the country).
