Montpellier!

Hey all! I'm a Canadian studying in Monpellier and I just happened upon this site. I was just wondering if there were any other Canadians down here in the south at all? :D

I'm actually working as an au pair and as part of that, take a French language course once a week specifically for au pairs. Technically my contract finishes the end of June and after that I'd like to travel for a couple weeks, coming back to Canada in July. I'm going to go home and visit my friends and family during the summer (seeing as I haven't seen them for so long Smile), but I'd love to come back to France in the fall and study. I'm reflecting at the moment, so we'll see what happens!

Hello everyone, i'm going to be moving to Montpellier to teach english in september and my girlfriend will be coming as well. She is able to get a visa for the year but we are wondering what kind of temporary job opportunities are there for Canadian expats in Montpellier? Merci

I know this topic hasn't been replied to since April, but I just recently moved to a suburb of Montpellier and was wondering if there was anyone out there looking for a new friend Wink

Hi,

I've been living in Toulouse for about two and a half years. Born and raised in Montreal, grew up on the north shore and well here I am!

I'm originally from Montreal and live with my French husband in the Montpellier area. Nice little city.we'll see how things go as the wee one grows (he's one at the moment). Loads of things we miss about the North American continent but life is good all in all. Daycare, health care, all the social services are far more humaine. However on the work front, if you don't have a job or create your business it's hard going.
