Hey all! I'm a Canadian studying in Monpellier and I just happened upon this site. I was just wondering if there were any other Canadians down here in the south at all? :D

I've traveled through montpellier, but sadly don't live there so can't give any real tips. It's a beautiful area though - I'm envious!

There are probably some Canadians down there - certainly plenty traveling through in the summer months.

Hope you find some!

canadians in france

Post Sat Sep 30, 2006 7:56 am

Surfing the net and found this site and think it is a great idea. Don't know why I haven't been on here yet.
I am not living in the south of France right now but I am moving before winter arrives. Don't know where yet in France. Always nice to find other canadians living in France. Right now I am lving outside of Tours. I am always looking for people to have adventures with. eg)surfing, hiking, climbing etc.

Hi, I've been living in the south of France just outside of Grenoble for 7 months now and just found this site. I'd love to get in touch with any other Canadians in the area!

I'm actually working as an au pair and as part of that, take a French language course once a week specifically for au pairs. Technically my contract finishes the end of June and after that I'd like to travel for a couple weeks, coming back to Canada in July. I'm going to go home and visit my friends and family during the summer (seeing as I haven't seen them for so long :)), but I'd love to come back to France in the fall and study. I'm reflecting at the moment, so we'll see what happens!

Hello everyone, i'm going to be moving to Montpellier to teach english in september and my girlfriend will be coming as well. She is able to get a visa for the year but we are wondering what kind of temporary job opportunities are there for Canadian expats in Montpellier? Merci
