Most proper route to take for getting a visa in my case??

...im sorry youve probably read the same posts a million times, but theres just soo much info on this website, its confusing.

...okay, i am a canadian citizen, my husband is an american citizen. Weve been together for over 6 years traveling back and forth and we finally got married in my homeland of ontario, canada in july 2011...since, he has returned to his home and is in the process of joining the military. They are pushing for me to get my green card asap, which i want anyway, but we dont know the proper way to go about getting it. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!
