Try this website: start with the usual preamble to a web address and add
daff (period)gov(period) au (forward slash) aqis(forward slash)cat-dogs.
Hope the above makes sense. This forum rejects the posting of an URL but all I did was type' Bringing your pet to Australia into Google to get the hit that showed the above website.

Prior to leaving Canada I had looked into the process and one of the things that I remember from then was that the quarantine station is in Sydney (we were going to Brisbane) so factor that into your plans if that is still the case. My kitty was taken by a coyote before we left. I only let him come and go outside for a brief period in the middle of the day but even in the 'burbs of Vancouver that wasn't safe. My cats here are strictly indoor cats, You may want to factor that into your plans as well given the paralysis tick problem, snakes, wedge-tail eagles and the high speed limits on the roads.

Hi Cleokitty, thanks for the feedback. THad good to know about keeping them inside, its not a problem luckily. We're also going to be in the Brisbane area. Anything else to consider with quarantine, and transport from Sydney that you may have heard about?

We found a pet transport service in AB called Boomerang, and have signed up with them. For both cats, one large kennel, the service fee is just shy of $3k. This didnt include the rabies titre tests which were a significant additional cost.

And then there's minimum 30 days quarantine. This is not cheap!

Hi Koula, After I lost my kitty I didn't pursue any further info so sorry, I can't help.

Good luck with the move and I hope you and the kitties can be relocated safely and comfortably.

Yes, in Australia all animals have to be microchip-ed it's a standard practice. It's not GPS or anything it's a small device that reads name, address, often other things like treatments etc. But also if the pet has been through customs. It's harmless all my pets have it here.
