Moving back to Calgary

Postby jisla » Fri Oct 17, 2003 8:37 am

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to move stuff home (calgary) from Holland? We have boxes of clothes, CD's etc, no furnature so a container is to big. We'd like to send it by sea, or the cheapest way possible. And all the way to Calgary, not just Vancouver.

Hi! I've stumbled across this forum while searching for shipping solutions, and I'm very curious to know how you solved your problem...since I'm in exactly the same predicament now! I'm moving back to Canada from Holland (only to Ottawa) and am bewildered by the choices of getting 'stuff' from here to there.

Any clever suggestions? I would love to hear back from you - Jodi

Shipping boxes back to Montreal, from Geneva

Postby gen » Tue Mar 02, 2004 2:21 am

Dear all,

I'm moving back to Mtl from GVA end of April. As I only have a couple of boxes, I'm looking for someone to share a container. Date and shipping location flexible (e.g. Ottawa)...

Direction Ottawa

Postby LilBear » Mon Apr 12, 2004 12:59 am

Hi/ Bonjour!

I am moving back to Ottawa at the end of April or early May. I have suscribed to www.airhitch.org for a cheap plane ticket and I dont know there exact date yet. I aslo can't know what my luggage allowence will be as I dont know who the airline company will be until I get to the information probably a couple days prior to my departure.

I am looking for someone that may have extra room to bring my books and some clothing back to Ottawa or even Montreal with them.

I can pay you!

And of coarse if there is anyone that has information on how to get things home for cheap, I would appreciate that you share the wealth of information with me!

Thanks alot and happy travels to all!
