If you move back to Canada, you will lose your GC sooner or later, so you might want to consider getting citizenship before leaving.

I moved back. Culture shock YES because I did not do it sooner!

At first I was agonized over the $200,000 over a lifetime that my family has spent on health care premiums while in the saner Canada they fight a $200 A YEAR premium!! I added up all the health care costs and money I could have had in my bank like my cousins. But then I started to realize that I will now be saving a lot more every month and at the end, when I would be on USA Medicare, I will not have to deal with the "spend down" issues and Medicare cutting off after 100 days.

All my cousins had summer homes and life events such as a divorce or health event did NOT bankrupt them either emotionally or financially.

No it is not perfect, but when the Canadians think they have problems, they pale next to what I have seen in the US. And believe me, I love the USA too. It is a great country- but the troubles I see now are getting so extreme!!

Canada has a much better quality of life. A little slice of Heaven.
