Moving from Calgary in Nov. We need help!

As of 3 weeks ago, my bf and i decided it was time to move out of calgary. We are both approved for the 417 visa and planning on seeking jobs when we arrive. We are moving with our 2 dogs (beginning that process to go thru vaccinations, etc ) so we intend on transitioning to something more permanent.

i am a registered massage therapist and he is a plumber. We are trying to find a dog friendly affordable flat to rent close-ish to a beach (no more than $500 pw). Any advice??? Our dogs are well behaved, they barely bark and sleep most of the day!

I am also looking for jobs in my field and apparently I have to pay $350 for them to tell me that I have the same level, if not higher training than required in AU (2200 hours). Suggestions on places to work with good pay? Is massage booming there?

Also, my bf is a foreman here and has all their plumbing qualifications in his one ticket. I hope its not terribly hard to find employment as a plumber there.

This has been quite a month, beginning the process of the move.

Any suggestions, advice or help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
