My wife and I will be moving to Cairo the third week of July. Does anybody know of a good aparment agent that can be trusted not to take us for a financial ride? We are looking for a three bedroom in Maadi for the price of 500-700 US. Can anybody help? Any help greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Are you still in Cairo? We are living in Ghana right now, and plan to go to Egypt for a trip in march. What should we visit there? We have two children (11 and 12), and look for a balanced trip : beach, relaxation, and culture. You have any suggestions? What about Hurgadha?

Thanks for response!

Well for a few days there is of course the pyramids, the museum and Khan al Khalili the market. Hurghada is about a one hour flight away from Cairo but is expensive for non residents with visas. Luxor if you want the full history package and of course if you want the beach then the Red Sea. Most of the Red Sea is not the beaches we are used to. Not a lot of sand and surf. More like go out on a ledge of shallow water and then fall into a one mile deep hole. Hurghada does have a few spots though I believe. Not sure. Have never been there. Usually go down to Marsa Alam for diving. It also depends on your budget and your time allotment for the trip. Good Luck and have fun.
