The organisation Voice of the Martyrs is based in Canada and if you contact them they may be able to offer you employment opportunities with them or with a sister organisation that they draw support from. It is an excellent contact point for you. As well, there is a growing demand for health services that provide a faith-based approach to care, so your wife may be able to work in a chrisian dental office. Speaking german will be an asset when dealing with German-Canadian patients. Let me know how it all goes. RB.

I have looked into this as we plan to do this in the future. The best option is to consult an immigration lawyer.

You have to realize that as a Canadian you must sponser your German spouse for at least 3 years. That means that no matter what happens in those 3 years - unemployment or divorse you are finacially responsible for your spouse. You cannot collect unemployment income if you both are jobless. In terms of Health care - talk to someone. You have a qualification period before you or both are covered.

In terms of work. Many German professions are not the same in Canada. German nurses and dental assisstants do not have the same level of training/education as in Canada and will not be recognized by the Canadian mediacl associations.

Shipping personal items by ship or air you need to remember that there is a finite time period to do this or you will have to pay duty on what you bring into the country. I believe it is 1 year starting the day you arrive in Canada.

Seriously a good immigration lawyer is the best answer.
