Moving to Doha, Qatar

Hi, i'll be moving to Doha in February and was wondering if anyone knows of any Canadian groups or womans groups that i can join when i'm there. I won't know anyone in Doha accept my husband and would like to meet new people in my age group (30 years)to socialize or go exploring with. I'll be glad to hear from anyone who has any info for me.

There are a lot of Canadians here from all age groups. In fact there is quite a large Canadian EXPAT group called Canadians in Qatar which just about any Canadian you run into should be able to put you in contact with. I've been here since Sept (from Alberta) and I'm a little older than the 30 you are looking at, but please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

I'm looking for information on how to get in touch with the Canadians in Qatar group, my husband and I just moved to Doha to teach for a year. Thanks!

Its pretty quiet here right now. You can check on the contacts with the Canadian Embassy in Kuwait. They keep a list of the group.
