Hey everyone, I just found this forum today and thought it owuld be the perfect place to ask for advice on life in Cairo. I am interested to know about how one goes about buying apartments and villas and the like, how long a person can stay etc. I am going to be getting my TEFL ticket from a private college in Vancouver(month long program) how easy is it to get TEFL jobs there? Anyways, any and all help is truly appreciated, I hope to spend a good portion of my life in Egypt need all info I can get. Take care everyone.

Hello Johnny,I live in Calgary, and will also go to Cairo and live there for a while by end of this year. May I ask what is TEFL? As for the visa, you'll get it in the airport there @ U.S$15. You may ask the embassy in Montreal on the max. stay there. I am also on the look for a place to stay in while in Cairo. Would be most pleased to help you also. It is not advisable that you buy property in Cairo unless you'll stay there for quiet long. Rent is very common and you can find hot good deals.

Hi,

I'm checking out the idea of moving to Cairo and I'm just wondering how your experience has been.
