My best friend and I would love to move to France. We'll be using Canadian programs like Swap and Oxford Seminars. Each of these programs are for 1 year, but if we love France like we expect to, we'd like to stay longer. Can someone who knows about working Visas and who has lived in France give me any information about the process of getting there and staying there? Any help would be very much appreciated. Just share your story of how you got to France, and how you've managed to stay, and any difficulties you've experienced. Thank you so much!

Hello, if your under 35, your best bet would be to get a Holiday Working Visa. Im not so lucky!

I am a French Canadian currently living & working in Japan, and my Girlfriend has received her Holiday Work Visa for France. We will be moving there late this year. As of now, I will be entering on a 90 day tourist Visa, although I wish to stay for the full year, therefore I will be looking for a work sponsor before going.

If I cant land a sponsor, Im wondering how hard it is to find under the table work, and stay over the 90 days?

Thanks for any feedback,
Patrick
