Moving to SWest Cornwall

Hi,

Having lived in London for the past year I am now heading west to Cornwall - looking forward to a more sane lifestyle - but wondering how long it will take to meet some folks.

Any Canadians living down that way?

Heather, boy am I jelous! I also live in London. We often go down to Cornwall and I love it there. Sorry though, don't know any Canadains there though.

Ha, I hope it's worthy of being jealous over.. Feels a bit like moving to the outback so am a little afraid I'll find it eerily quiet after London. But then.. I'm from Newfoudland and in recent yrs lived by the sea in a wee fishing village of 300 (but 15 mins from teh city). I'm moving to the Lizard in Cornwall so expect it may well feel familiar. I have noticed plenty of Canadian flags down that way - comrades on the high seas with fishing. If you have any tips on places to see or things to do please let me know. THanks!

Cornwall is beautiful. I've only been to the lizard once. We usally stay more on the north west coast. So good places to go are Eden Project(although a little pricy) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. If you like walking, there are lots of coast paths in Cornwall with some amazing views.

We know some people in St Ives who use to be fisherman, and they do have a great affinity with the Canadian fishermen. They are no incountering some of the same issues that Newfoundland has in the past with fishing restrictions ect.
