Moving to teh UK to work next year and need some more advice

Oh ok, so when I get a work permit and have the original copy sent to me, then I can apply for the visa? is it actually called a "work permit visa"? and if so how long is it good for and can it be renewed from the UK? or do I have to make a trip back to canada to renew it? Plus do I need bank info when completing my visa application? I have read on britainincanada.com that the visa application must be done online?! is this true? If so what ALL do I need to have ready as far as info goes when aplying online?

if u have a work permit, then u need an employment visa. u must apply online. the link is below.

before u start applying for real, print the paper version (which is slightly different, since it doesn't apply to canada) and try filling it in by hand, so that ur answers are ready.

Ok, another thing is if I get a work permit and letter from the employer sent to me. where do I send it if I apply for the visa online? Do I have to mail it somewhere as soon as I apply online for the visa? Also looks like I have to send wage slips, so I guess they want pay stubs as well, or even better, my apprenticeship record book, which takes note of experience and has all of the employers I have been with stamped on it. Isnt there a way I could apply for this visa without a job offer first? I am sure the employer would like to meet me in person first as I would If I was the employer. Sure beats making an extra trip. I could apply online, but I think my chances are alot higher in person. Does the amount of money you have in the bank make a diffrence for a work permit visa? Ok, I am just editing this post and I found a space where they need the work permit number. So i guess this would be for online applications, so you dont have to send in the physical permit. Still doesnt explain where I send pay stubs or my apprenticeship record book. this is ridiculous, sorry for all of the questions guys. Thanks for the links though!
