i've only visited the UK in August and have gotten nothing but gorgeous sun. the infamous bad london weather, ive yet to experience.

Is it that depresssing!? Do i need my parka?

No, it's not depressing, it's lucky.
And while you don't need a parka per se, definitely bring an anorak.
