Moving to Urumqi

Hey everyone.
I am a Canadian living in the UK who is going to move to Urumqi in China to teach ESL.I am wondering if there is anyone here who knows Urumqi and can tell me what to see and look our for.

I lived in Urumqi and taught there at EF until Dec 2004. I'm now moving to a nearby city in the same area, called Yining.
