I am moving to the US to work on a non-immigrant L1 visa in a few weeks. I will be living in Los Angeles California. Since my permanent residence is still Canada, can I keep my Ontario drivers license, plates and insurance with no problem?

Up to one year. After that you have to formally import it. You'd have to check with the insurance company but it seems to be usually one year also.
