Learn French! If you don't know it already, defintiely learn your basics. My highschool French was enough for me to stumble through a conversation, but I suggest learning a little more.

Paris is of course a must-see, and the French Riviera is really great. It's hard to believe it's the same country. I'll never forget taking a night train to Nice and seeing the sun come up over the sea and turning the mountains all sorts of reddish hues..Really a cool site.

I never had a chance to check out the northern coast of France though I hear it's also got it's own unique charm.
