My dad visiting Scotland

Hi everybody, my father wants to visit Scotland (he is 77 yrs old and is from scotland but came here when he was 15 and is now a canadian citizen and has a canadian passport).

he wants to visit for 6 months...what are the requirements for him to visit for 6 months if there are any at all

None at all. He could move back if he wishes (even without a UK passport -- especially if his birthplace is noted on his Cdn passport), so a visit will require nothing.

so he doesn't need to show a return flight or anything like that?
