Hi all

For everyone missing the hockey at home and living in Victoria, Melbourne have a team in the Australian Ice Hockey League - the Melbourne Ice, a talented and energetic team with a great group of volunteers behind them.

We have a couple of games left for this season, depending on how we go in the finals, of course! We'd love to see you there and you might even make some new Canadian and international friends. Don't forget your jerseys!

The official website is melbourneice dot com and there is also a Facebook group - facebook dot com / group .php ? gid=5342813316 [or just search for Melbourne Ice] with details for the upcoming games and also the major social and fundraising event for 2008; the Melbourne Ice Casino Night at the Elgin Inn, Hawthorn.

The Ice play their home games at the Olympic Ice Arena in Oakleigh South. All ticketing and venue info can be found on the Melbourne Ice website. If you have any queries, I'll be happy to help.

There's always room on the team if you want to try out and have got talent

Moreover, we're always looking for new volunteers for game day!

Btw, Melbourne Ice are in the finals! We have 2 more home games, then on to Newcastle for the finals on 30 and 31 August, very exciting!
