need help finding a job in geneva? suggestions

I've been in Geneva for about 2 months now, and trying to find a job, it seems really hard since i dont have work permit and im not really sure how and where you can get a work permit. If you have any suggestuons please let me know!!
any canadians in geneva, msg me. I havent met any english speaking people here yet...

I'm looking to move to Switzerland in a couple of months. Geneva is the main destination, because I'm living in French Canada and I want to take advantage about my language skills.
As I know, the work permit is asked by the employer after you convince him to hire you...
So you are not able to ask to the authorities this permit, only the employer will do it.
