I just found this forum and I am very impressed with the scope and knowledge of the participants.
Here are my questions.
I am a dentist presently living and working in Canada. I have been offered a part time position at a US dental school as an unpaid instructor. I want the job to allow me to improve my teaching skills and to network with other professional educators in my field as I run an education program in Canada that does pay me. Can I get a TN visa for an unpaid position?
I would like to get an apartment in the US for the days I will be working there but maintain a permanent residence in Canada. I was told that I need a TN visa to legally enter the US as I am not a visitor if I am working, as well, I need it to be able to move furniture across the border. What does the letter from my employer need to state to get a TN visa?
I will be travelling across the border by car 2 to 3 times a week. What documentation do I need to keep with me to satisfy CPB of my situation?
Thanks for any answers
