I am now a permanent reident in the Us , but am trying to get information regarding Canada pension. I still have loads of time before retirement , but my question is can I collect both us social security and Canada pension when I retire. if I keep my citizenship the same.

Yes, you can keep your CPP and be eligible for benefits at retirement, even if you are still in the US at the time.

Your payment amounts and eligibility are determined by how many years you worked in Canada before you left.

I don't think we are eligibe for Old Age Security if we leave Canada though.

Here's the CPP website for info
