A couple of things to take care of:
If your husband is going back with you...
1. If you move back to Canada as a GC holder, you are still liable for US taxation, your husband is too since he is a US citizen.
2. He needs to immigrate to canada, just like you did to US, so you need to lok into this before moving back.
3. Since you only have GC, you could lose it when you do not keep US residence. You may need to take steps to keep GC. better yet, become US citizen as soon as you can before leaving.
4. make sure either of you have taken care of your retirement funds before moving to Canada. The current best strategy is to roll any and all 401(k)/IRA into Roths BEFORE going back. This may cost you some tax now, but will make these funds entirely tax-free in both US and canada forever.
