New York City and my RRSP

Hello,

I've read that by filing the proper annual paperwork you can avoid US federal taxes for income generated in your RRSP, but that you may still be liable for state taxes.

Does anyone know what happens for New York State and City income taxes? Can you point me towards any resources? (I've seen information for California, but not NY/NYC)
