New Youth Mobility Scheme to replace WHM?

New Youth Mobility Scheme to replace WHM?

I've been told that in Autumn of this year, the Working Holiday Maker Visa will be replaced with the Youth Mobility Scheme. I've been on the website having a look, but there doesn't seem to be too much information on it yet.

I was wondering if anyone has heard about this, or has any other information on it.
I guess what I would really like to know, is how different this is going to be from the Working Holiday Maker.

Thanks,
Jessica

You have to wait until September/mid-October for the info. Trust me, I'm waiting for it too!

I want to know if I'm screwed out of going on it. I'm 27 right now, and will turn 30 in July 2011. This is one of those "it's now or never" things for me.

All I know is that there are a limited number of "positions" or "places" available depending on the country (minimum 1000 for a country like Canada) and it's on a first-come-first-served basis.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that it works out for all of us, and that we'll be able to work more than 6 months in a year!
