Newbie with questions, yarr!

So, I'm here because I'm looking for a job in England. I'm a Canadian citizen, born and raised here(woo!) but thanks to my parents I'm also able to have a German Passport too!(which I currently hold in my hands)
That said, I know that's my ticket into working in England, and have been exploiting that to prospective employers I'm currently talking to.

What I'm wondering is, is this German passport -really- all I need to be able to work and live in England?

And, this is more my biggest question because I'm a little confused,

Which passport do I use when I fly out of Canada/arrive in England to work?

Yes, your German passport is really all you need, although you will have to apply for a National Insurance number here as well.

I obtained Dutch citizenship 3 years ago as both my parents were born in Holland and that was my ticket to working in the UK.

I use my Canadian passport to fly to Canada and the States, as you might otherwise need a visa and use my Dutch passport to travel to the UK and within Europe.

YOu need to use your German passport when you arrive in the UK because your Canadian one doesn't give you any right to work here.

See, I was thinking that about the German passport and needing to use it when I landed but I just wasn't sure.

. now, if only I can secure a job, find a flat, figure out the currency difference and learn the transit systems. Hehe! Oh the joys of moving to a different country.

On the transit system, people here complain, but really they don't know how good it is compared to North America. You can get a train pretty much anywhere, generally they are on time, the price is reasonable. If you live in London, as long as you can find a tube station (often every 500m) you can never be lost!

Transit system - Just remember to flag your bus down if no one else at the stop has done it as otherwise the busses just fly past you *lol*

Due to the European Union agreements any participating European country (including Germany) can work freely anywhere in Europe. the cause of many a Brit's complaining about those 'damn Polish tradesmen taking all our jobs' and the like *lol*

One of the nice things living here is that there are so many countries relatively nearby. I couldnt believe it when we travelled back to Canada for a visit last October with KLM & stopped over in Amsterdam. the flight from Manchester airport to Amsterdam Schipol airport was about 45 minutes! The flight crew barely had enough time to serve a light snack & drink before we were already preparing for landing! *lol*

They're really spoilt for choices to vacation at here. in Canada it always involved long travel times & usually would end up being on the same continent (USA or Mexico) or in the Caribean, otherwise you'd be looking at a days travel just to get there! Also nice that the vacation allowance here is minimum 1 month (20 working days) at all the jobs I worked at and was recruited for, just try and avoid temp jobs unless necessary as temp workers have very little rights & entitlements and you can be dismissed for the stupidest little things.
