Hi all! I was wondering if it is possible for Canadians to be employed as a social worker in Bermuda. I lived there 8 years ago and worked in a Restaurant/Bar and loved my time there. I came back to Canada for school and would love to go back for a couple years and work as a social worker. Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated! ...

In the toronto harbor there are several marinas where people live on their boats. It drastically reduces rent/mortgage costs.
In the bermuda/carribbean islands, is there any such provision?

Also....is the immigration to Carribbean only open to canadian citizens or to permanent residents as well?

Assuming she would start grade 10 in Bermuda, what high schools are recommended and is there anyone who has moved to Bermuda with a high school aged child that can offer advice/words of wisdom?

I'm an IT professional, and I was contacted by Squires about an opportunity earlier today in Bermuda. It pays $100-$150k per year. This is a very nice salary at the top end. However, I have a wife and 2 kids (my wife does not work), so I was worried about the cost of living.

I might be offered a job as a store manager for a grocery store in bermuda from squires resources. Ive been doing research and know that the good jobs are in the above fields so with that in mind, would anyone know an average salary for a store manager?? and any other info would help big time like the work environments and how good is squires resources, anyone ever had any issues with them??

I am a Canadian and have just been offered a job in Bermuda. It pays $79,000 BMD per year. At first I was very excited at the offer and was ready to jump at the chance.

But then I started researching the astronomical cost of living on the island. Now I'm very VERY concerned that the job wouldn't allow me more than basic living expenses.
