News of Canadians in Bermuda

Hi everyone,

I'm an IT professional, and I was contacted by Squires about an opportunity earlier today in Bermuda. It pays $100-$150k per year. This is a very nice salary at the top end. However, I have a wife and 2 kids (my wife does not work), so I was worried about the cost of living.

I had a few questions if anyone can answer them that would be great

I have a fast decision to make about moving to Bermuda as a Hotelier.
What are the accomidations like (for hotel staff on property) and what type of salary is respectable for Assistant Front Office Managers?

I might be offered a job as a store manager for a grocery store in bermuda from squires resources. Ive been doing research and know that the good jobs are in the above fields so with that in mind, would anyone know an average salary for a store manager?? and any other info would help big time like the work environments and how good is squires resources, anyone ever had any issues with them??

Or anywhere in the Bahamas for that matter. I can't believe Bermuda is more of a draw!

My wife and I are trying to start an international adoption while we are here. Bermuda itself does not want to be involved in the process and Canada will also not facilitate the adoption. We think that adoption firms in the USA can help but we have been told that Canada has to give us permission first.. Does anyone have any experience/ advice they can give us??
