Hi everyone, glad to find this forum. I'm about to make probably the biggest decision of my life. I'm considering to take up a Lecturer position in the UK. But I'm so uncertain about what life would be in the UK. So I would appreciate comments, suggestions, and advice of any kind from you so I can have more information to make my decision. Wondering if anyone has advice about living near Oxford or Henley on Thames, or other areas in Oxfordshire. I understand there are some places to avoid. Hoping to move sometime next year, so doing the research now.
Where are the best places to live as far as safety, friendly community, leisure/sports clubs, good rail connection to London or Oxford... also looking for a good primary school for my 5 year old.
