Proposing to my US GF, getting married in US, living in Can.

Title says it all essentially.

I am a Canadian who's been dating an American woman. Going to be proposing within a few months time, and we intend on getting married in the US before coming back to Canada post honeymoon.

Ideally we'd like to be married this year, late August or September/October... so what are the steps we would need to take?

Thanks.

I will be doing billable and non-billable work in these various countries. I am not sure what the best means to proceed with regards to taxation. Should I setup a company here in Canada and bill ...

Working Remotely for US co - returning their product.

Hi everyone,

I've been doing contract work for a US company for several years via my Canadian business. Part of that work involved reviewing pre-production and actual production samples of their products (which are made in China).

Now that I will be working for the USA company directly at their office under an H-1B, I want to return all their sample products to them. Is there a way I can take all this "stuff" back ...

Can you recommend a good TN to GC Lawyer

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good TN to GC lawyer that is quite affordable? I work for a small company that may not be able to pay the entire immigration fees, so I might have to pay a part out of pocket.

Thanks.

Obtaining Canadian passports for older children

Hi. I'm a Canadian who has been living in the UK for 15 years and married to a UK national and should have sorted this out by now but I have two boys age 9 and 11 who do not yet have Canadian passports. Every time I look into it I get very bogged down--as one boy was born in UK and the other in Australia. Does anyone know the best steps to take? I ...

Complicated UKM case

Hi!
My mother was born in the UK in 1959, moved to Canada when she was a child, and I was born in Canada in 1978. I was then adopted in 1980 by Canadian citizens. While my birth certificate has the name of my adoptive parents, I have a government issued and embossed copy of my adoption records proving that I was born to my birth mother.

So far as I understand the rules, I ...

Canuck considering working current job but from Honduras?

I am a Canadian working remotely from my home in Ontario for a US company. The company has Canadian locations and therefore I am currently tied to one of their Canadian office as far as payroll goes.
