I have a Canadian passport with a certificate of entitlement (to the right of abode). It's kind of a long story, but the short version is:
* Have lived in the UK for almost (3 months short now) 5 years
* Passport expires in June
* Tried to renew passport in Summer while in Canada and they said it was too 'young' (too much time left on it)
* Was back home at Christmas ...

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any information about the legalities of owning and living in France. I will bw working in Lausanne and the hope is to buy something in the Paris vicinity with my Italian boyfriend who will be working in Brussels. Secondly, is it alright to tell the immigration officer (at the border) that one is headed for an interview ?

I moved to Rhode Island recently on TN1. I am currently using rent-a-car to commute to work. Just wondering if I can own and drive a car here and don't have to bother getting a Rhode Island license (probably will have to go through a driving test). I checked DMV site (Rhode Island section) and looks like they are asking for either a Rhode Island driver's license or a Rhode Island identification card ...

Do TN visa holder have to pay tax on overseas (not Canada) income?

Can my TN husband and I buy a house in Florida, where I live on TD status, while he's working in Illinois? As a TD, is it expected that I'm living with him. It would be considered his home too, but he would commute to work and come "home" every other weekend or so.
