We'll be travelling to Switzerland to visit some friends in May, and I'm wondering what would be some items that we could bring that they they would appreciate and that they can't get over there. Our friends all grew up here, and only moved there a few years ago.

Im from B.C. but currently volunteering in Jamaica ! after this adventure I was thinking of going to Switzerland to work. From all that I have read you need to have a work visa to apply for jobs.

My parents were born in Canada - but my Dads Mom was born in England and My Moms Parents were from Scotland and Ireland.

Does any of this help me in applying for a Passport ...

I've been in Geneva for about 2 months now, and trying to find a job, it seems really hard since i dont have work permit and im not really sure how and where you can get a work permit. If you have any suggestuons please let me know!!

Hi everyone, I`m a Canadian social worker and am interested in moving to either Geneva or Zurich. I have a masters degree in social work and am currently working in the UK. I`m also a dual EU-Canadian citizen. Would anyone know where I would be able to work with families and youth as a social worker in either Geneva or Zurich?

I'll be doing a work internship for 3 months here and it seems like they messed up on my work visa that it expires a few weeks before I actually leave. Would I have to apply for the permit even though I have a cdn passport and I wouldn't be only the 90 days?

i need some advice regarding canadians who is working overseas with their spouse in canada. do they have to file for their income tax in canada even if they pay their tax on the country where they are working? canada has a treaty with this country that avoid double taxation. any advice will be much appreciated. thanks

Hi there, I am a Canadian living in Canada and I have read everything about applying for work and obtaining a work permit (and it seems so difficult). Is there any new info from anyone about working for a Canadian company in Switzerland or Swiss companies inclined to hire Canadians and go through the whole permit process?
