Togetherness spanning the Ocean

Hello everyone... I have written posts on this site before, seeking advice for my English fiance and myself, a Canadian. I won't go into the past too deeply, but to make a long story short:

We met when I was in the UK on a working holiday maker visa.

Left at the end of said visa, on time, no problems.

Planned to go back to UK to be with my fiance (then boyfriend) after having ...

UKM vs passport

I will be applying for UKM (as soon as I can find suitable referees) and would naturally like a UK passport as well. Do I get a passport as part of the application, or is it separate? If it is separate, can I apply for both at the same time? It seems to me that there is a great deal of overlap between the two.

Working Visa Sponsord by the Employer

Hi I'm from the Philippines I saw a job hiring from London and I submit a resume. They want a nanny for their children. They e-mailed me responding to my resume. They said that I'm qualified and willing to process my Visa and my plane ticket with their travel agent through their own expense. Only I have to spent money for my working permit which cost 400 pounds. I just want to know if this ...

Complicated UKM case

Hi!
My mother was born in the UK in 1959, moved to Canada when she was a child, and I was born in Canada in 1978. I was then adopted in 1980 by Canadian citizens. While my birth certificate has the name of my adoptive parents, I have a government issued and embossed copy of my adoption records proving that I was born to my birth mother.

So far as I understand the rules, I ...

- I checked ...

Getting a UK passport

My husband's father was born in the UK, and as far as I understood it, this makes him a citizen by descent (or some such language) and entitles him to a passport which will let him come and go freely.
Am I right in thinking this? I am confused by all the talk on this site about Ancestry Visas, of which I've never heard before.
We are planning on moving to the UK in a ...

Switching from YMS to Unmarried Partner Visa. HELP!

Hi All,

We have all the documents, bank statements and bills to prove that we've lived at the same various addresses over the 2 years though, along with tons ...
