I work in US under TN and have filed the 1040NR & 8840. Now filing Canadian return, I need help in confirming following assumptions:

1. US Employment Income (W-2) = "Non Business Income" on Canadian forms T2209 & T2036?
2. US Federal/State Tax + SS + Medicare = "Non Business Income Tax" on Canadian forms T2209?

My TN is expiring this coming 5/15/12 and I'm planning on renewing it by mail (I-129 form). It is to my understanding that the TN status is up to three years. However, my passport will expire next Feb 5, 2013. In other words, my passport is still valid for one year. Should I renew Canadian passport before submitting my TN renewal? - I am canadian citizen, currently under TN visa
- my wife is not a Canadian citizen, but a permanent resident (PR) of Canada, currently under TD Visa
- I have read that PR (wife) can meet the requirements of maintaining PR status while living outside of Canada as long as they accompany a Canadian (me)
