Hi Phil!!

I'm from Calgary and am desparately trying to find somewhere to watch the games....specifically the game on Sunday morning!! I've been listening to NHL Radio at work for the games during work times. Foxtel (ESPN) shows the games but usually on a delay...starting at 1pm....but the 6th and 7th games are being shown live.

We are thinking the sports bar in the casino will probably show the games but it would be fun to find somewhere like a pub where they will have the sound on etc....and hopefully some other hockey fans watching!

If anyone out there knows of a good place then let me know!! It would be fun to get a group together to watch! And watch the Flames bring the cup back to Canada!!

Take care

Amy

Confused

Yeah I was thinking the same about the sports bar at Crown but couldn't find any info on which bar...
That maybe the only way as I haven't heard any Canuck pubs in town...
hopefully someone else can help us out here...

cheers

A friend of mine is going by the casino tonight so he's going to see if they are going to play the game on Sunday...it's being broadcast live on ESPN. I'll let you know what he finds out..... It'll be a struggle to find pubs open at 10am on a sunday morning except at the casino!

I'll keep looking though. We are going to call around. There has to be other canadians out there who'd like to watch it. I went to the Canada rugby games back in November and there were thousands of us there.....they have to be out there somewhere!!??!!!

Hopefully someone can help us out???!!!!

I'm thinking opening a canadian pub in melbourne would be a good idea?!

Hi Paul!!

So exciting!!! Just one game to go!!

They are showing the game at the Casino but the only problem is that they don't have the sound on.....but fingers crossed....since it is not a work day....there might be more people there to watch and we might be able to persuade them to switch the sound on. I'm going to call one more place in Sandringham which is a sports bar open 24 hrs on the weekend....that would be closer for you and for me! I'll post a message tomorrow and let you know.

A canadian pub is a must here I think...we need something like the Maple Leaf in London....have you been there? It's awesome especially for Canada day and for watching hockey!!!

Take care

Hi Phil,

Sorry about that! my finace's name is Phil too so I really should remember that! Embarassed

We are going to go to the Casino. We figure there's more of a chance of people thinking to go there to watch and therefore hopefully a bit of atmosphere. We will be there and there are a few other people who have said they'll come but we'll see tomorrow...

Flames can do it!! It's so exciting!!! It'll be a great game! They won at home in the 6th game against San Jose so they can do it again.....especially when it's for the cup!!! I wish I was home SO much!

Take care and maybe we'll see you tomorrow!

Very Happy
