Obtaining A Work Visa Whilst Abroad

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew about obtaining a work visa while already in the country. Is that Impossible? If so, how about getting one for a country where I want to work, While in another country, but not Canada. For instance, If I wanted to work in Ireland, could I get a work visa while I was in the UK?

As far as I know you must apply for a work visa in your HOME country..In otherwords, you gotta apply in Canada. This may vary country to country though..Your best bet is to just call the embassy. There may be exceptions.
