Offer letter by recruiter or company? (W2 job)

Post Thu Jan 27, 2011 3:12 pm

I have a job offer through a recruiter for a contract position so it's a "W2" job.

Anyway, I've never worked on a contract basis in the US but I'm doing it for the pay increase..

BUT, how does it work at the border now does the recruiter (who is really the one hiring me) write up the Offer Letter? Or, does the company I'm working for write the letter and the recruiter is an invisible middle-man.

Basically, how should the offer letter be worded?

Thanks :)
