Ohip expired....is this the end of my travels?

To all who care,
I am currently travelling the world. And have stopped to work in Australia. Now my travels are I'm jeopardy as I have learnt my ohip has expired. Does this mean my travel insurance is void? And is there any way to renew it or even take out another international policy, then perhaps deal with ohip when I return. I need as much advise as possible as it looks like i may have to head home early!!!!

Your travel insurance was issued on the basis of maintaining provincial coverage, so is now invalid. You need another policy.

Ok, so if this is the case is there anyway to getting a stand alone policy that there is no need for an ohip?

I'm quite sure they have insurance agents in Australia.
