I am from Calgary and will be in the UK (Reading, London areas) for a lot of time over the next year or two (probably moving over for a year or two) and I would love to hook up with an oltimers hockey team on a regular basis for fun. I am 41, but I am a good player (played up to Junior A - just not in anywhere near as good a shape as I used to be!) so I don't mind playing with some teams that might be a bit younger. I'm not sure if there is even such a thing over there. Does anyone know of any oldtimer teams and any contacts? I don't mind driving up to an hour each way to play (I must be Canadian!). I will be there for the month of August and would like to find a team or shinny for the rest of the summer. Thanks!
