On L1 in US, want to visit Canada

Post Tue Jul 28, 2009 7:19 am

Hi,

I am currently in Atlanta on an L1 dependent visa from India. What procedure need I follow if I want to visit Canada?

Thanks,
Gags.

Doesn't make any difference what your status is in the US, you follow the same procedure as any other visitor to Canada, not sure if Indians require a visa or not, check with the local consulate or the CIC.

As long as your status is still valid in the US you can then return. L-1 usually gets a multiple-entry I-94 so don't surrender it when you leave, it will have "multiple entry" and "L-1" stamped on it. You show it to CBP when you re-enter with your passport and visa.
