Hey CdnGirl09! I just went through this as well. I was serious about moving to the US to work. So I started sending out resumes via email to US companies that had posted on websites I found. I attached cover letters explaining my willingness to move to the US, and actually had a date that I was visiting so that they could set up facility tour/interview at that time if they wished. I believe this showed that I was serious, so that they would take a look at my resume and consider me a job candidate.
This being said, you cannot acquire a
TN visa without first having a job offer in the states. So, when you're serious find companies willing to so-call "sponsor" you for a visa. This only entails them hiring you on the condition that you have the correct requirements to obtain a Visa, they write a support letter on your behalf, you get the rest of the paperwork and head to the border for your visa. Make sure you're a profession on the list for TNs.
I had job interviews in Canada and US at the same time, it's just up to you where you decide to work!
Hope that answers your question. Good luck.
