Other than Paris

Guys, you forgot Alsace with cobbled stone streets (Colmar & Strasbourg) and wonderful "maisons à colombages". Then there is Biarritz in the South West and many smaller towns around Paris, from Amiens to Dijon, Reims or Troyes.

Hey. France all over !

Your biggest challenge is to find a job in interior's design. You're looking at France here. They know quite a bit on that topic and you probably could kick start a career working with them and bringing the knowledge back home.

Yeah, I hear they scowl at people who look "touristy". In France, you must be classy! *pose* LOL

Can I second Nice? I have some friends who live there and it's a beautiful city, definately worth a look.

Well. well. I will add Toulouse to the list because: great city, amazing night life with over 100,000 students, a large British/German/Spanish community (head office of Airbus Industry). I forgot to tell you: I am born there!
Anyway, I will add Bordeaux, Montpellier and Biarritz

Good luck for the your future choice. Bonne chance pour ton futur choix!
