Overstay Canadian needing to enter u.s for school trip

Post Tue Jul 06, 2010 4:42 pm

Hello,
I was deinied entry to the states last year, because of an over stay, ( i didn't even know Canadians could have an overstay) I am going to be starting grad school in September, and we have a class trip to New York, in September. What can I do? and with such a short time?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

You need to find out if you are barred, and for how long.

Don't just show up with your classmates, as you will be left at the border as they go on.

Hi,

here is my situation and any advice will be greately appreciated:

My wife and I are both canadian citizens. We have a daughter who is 14 years old and she is an American citizen (by birth). She just graduated from middle school in Canada. My wife wants to accompany her to attend high school in U.S..

My question is : is there anyway that my wife can stay more than 6 months a year in the U.S.? In other words, can she continuously stay in the U.S. until my daughter graduates from high school?

Thanks in advance.

Mike
