Parent opening business in US for child

Post Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:06 am

Can my parents open up a business so that I can work there on a TN Visa?
How much money must we invest?
They will not work for the business and want to stay in US 6 months a year down south.
Do they need a Visa if they are not working?
How long before they can hire me - consider we will hire a US secretary, bookkeeper and salesmen first?
Will the company be able to sponsor me for a H1B in the future?

Henry, if your parents are going to go through the trouble of opening a business so that you can get a TN, why don't you consider something more worthwhile like an E-2 visa or an EB-5 green card?
